Jitterbug Collecting Tips

And I will start with a couple of bogus auctions on Ebay at the moment zippedsmilie

If you are a budding collector...save the pics and my notes below concerning each auction thumbsupsmilie

The plastic lip on the one lure looks to be authentic, but the box dates late '40's - mid '50's. Lure body dates to around 1988. (notice eye shape and compare to...)

1968 eyes...


1982 eyes....


1988 eyes....


The other lure box style (sliding cover) dates mid '60's to late 1970's. And compare paint pattern with above links....I'd say a late '40's to mid 1950's lure.

I messaged the guy under the assumption that he bought them that way....no response yet ???
