With my recent call out for Knols lures to add to my small collection...I think I have been rewarded! Check these out.

Whats with the writing on the bib...cant say I have seen it before.

and this one...A nice, clean shallow native.

These add nicely to my collection, and with another lot arriving today, things will look even better soon.

John Knol was a great supporter and competitor in the Bass catch program. Here is a little info about the event.
"Hawkesbury/Nepean Bass Catch
The Hawkesbury/Nepean Bass catch was the very first Bass catch implemented in October 1988 when DPI Fisheries scientists with Bass Sydney members figured that it would be a good way of collecting data on the Bass fishery, as well as good excuse for both groups getting together for a weekends fishing."

I believe it was one of the events on the Hawkesbury, at which the sad event concerning John Knol and Joe Priest occurred.

So these two lures hold a little more history then most!?! I am really glad I got them now. They will be with me forever, as (not that we need it though) they are a constant reminder of the tradgedy that occured, and the type of man John is.
