Hole in the Bib
Can anyone tell why Whitmore Lures have a hole drilled in the bib infront of the tow point, well all mine do anyway????

It's like you read my mind - I was thinking the exact same thing looking at the pics of mine for sale.
Maybe it's a water flow thing? Or a possible tow point change?

Are the lures in question plastic bibbed versions?
My old metal bibbed lures only have the two holes.

It is unusual seeing the tow point is slotted.
Too small for an extra tow point you'd think.
Apart from creating a bubble trail I wouldn't have a clue.

That bottom lure may hold the explanation - the bibs could be formed or cut with the little hole for the twisted wire attachment, and if needed for the other lures a slot is cut.

some actions and depths vary with the smallest holes drilled in them ive tried it, this may not be the case but its true...
