SAW!!!!!!!!!!! shockedsmilie

Umm might I suggest a less destructive method.

1X number drill (jewellers size), a spoon and a ciggy lighter required.

Use the drill to drill a hole in an unobtrusive spot (tail next to eye is good) to gather some internal material.
Place said material in spoon und apply heat under the spoon, if its plastic/urethane it will turn gooey, if its wood it should heat up till it smoulders.

Just a hint... DO THIS OUT OF VIEW OF NOSEY NEIGBOURS AND OFFICERS OF THE LAW, trying to explain the difference in testing lure material and drug preparation gets tiring after a while lol lol

There is a simple way of telling if a lure is wood or moulded, if it has figure eight hangers it's moulded, if the hangers are twisted it's wood.

It has to be timber, they look like home made twisted wire hangers.

Its not moulded by Alan Dolan. Kev made his own rubber moulds & hand poured each lure himself. Been there with him while he made thousands of them in the shed.

On the figure 8s. He's used a couple of different styles, I called in there tonight to chat to him & he showed me some of the 8s he used to use.

THat older looking lure still looks like one of Kev's paint jobs, tho it looks to have some age to it IMHO.

Kev's retired now & was pretty crook there for a while, tho he's better than what he was.

I grabbed the last of his old stock while I was there BTW. thumbsupsmilie

Cheers,

Fitzy..
