? he tells the story so well....
In his absence I will tell what I can remember of his tale....
Wally and his Wife to be were holidaying in Thailand with 4 other couples + 1 single bloke. Now according to Wally , the single fella had a bit of an accident years before , which lets say.... left him a few shillings short of a Quid !!
Anyway , while attending a cabaret show ( Ping-Pong night club , with pole dancers ) .... this chap preceded to tell Wally how one of the dancers was keen on him. Wally said.... don't be stupid you idiot.... they smile at everyone. They do this for living every night. Wake up to yourself !!
A short while later.... this fella says he going to the bar to get drinks ( even though it was table service
? ) . So wally being the good friend he is , and looking after this blokes welfare , keeps an eye on him. The fella heads in the general direction of the bar..... does a quick left handed right angle turn , is accosted by this beautiful dancer and up a flight of steps at the speed of light.
Wally , up and out of his seat like a Russian pole-vaulter , and in pursue of his mate. Gets to the top of the stairs .... looks around and there is a long dark corridor with little doors ( obviously with little rooms behind them )..and NO idea which one his mate went into ?
So the bloke is deemed M.I.A. when he does not arrive back at the group hotel , that night.... or the next morning.
Some days later.... as the group is boarding their tour bus to head to yet another destination ..... MR: M.I.A. appears as if nothing had happened. As it turns out , this fella took quite a liking to these beautiful cabaret dancers...
, and went back to Thailand later that year. In fact he actually returned to Grafton with one of these beauties and they are now happily married with 3 little ones.
There were other stories told while we sat the storm out , but most of them are un-fit for this forum. So as you can imagine.... they must be very bad !
