Dave,
theres a few on the US 'bay site, just type in 'bat' when you get to the fishing tackle section.

I've managed to pick up two of these oddities over the years. I took oneout of the pack just to try and get my head around what I was looking at. Still look more like somehting out of a Marvel comic than a lure. Both are metal. Note the hooks on mine are large doubles.

No, it has the same info. S & M Manufacturing - Carrum Downs Victoria and it refers to the Vibra Sonic competition. The card behind the plastic on mine is completely devoid of any writing. So the search continues.

The stallholder couldn't sell them over 3 days at $40.so was happy to take $20 when I arrived just as he was starting to pack up.

I had asked at about 40 stalls to get a single Crown Devon on card so this ended up making me feel the day was worthwhile.

Jim

Love the card. Don't have any plastics. Can you send me a photo of the card for a future column?

Cheers

Guys,
I just received a pair from auction, 1 plastic and 1 metal with paperwork from 2 makers included, I will post pics of all when camera is charged.
The paperwork also makes for a twist as there is 1 versionof instructions from a maker usually associated with early metal spinners. More to come
