Pipeline George Lures

Post by Capt.Seaweed » Thu Apr 01, 2010 8:54 am

Guys,
Here is my Dempster collection, some have caught fish, my first lure caught barra (10lber) on one of the 3" blues.
First billabong Saratoga (7lber) on 3" green, others have been kept mint for my collection. Only have the one 4" and no 2".
As you can see,I mostly have 3" blues, so I'm guessing this was his predominant colour choice.
Most were acquired during the mid 80's through a mate who came from Townsville. Hope you enjoy.

Here's a few of my George Dempster's. Pretty sure there are more floating around in my tackle boxes, somewhere. My father-in-law and brother-in-law have quite a few of George's lures, as well.
I used to buy heaps of lures off George. Half the fishermen in Armidale probably have a collection of George's 2" lures in their Tackle box - they were a great bass lure.
Cheers

Travers

Travers,
Nice collection, I think his finishes make them my most sort-after of all the FNQ makers.
I see you have predominately the 2" size, for the bass I take it?
I now have a 2" thanks to a trade with Brolly for one of my 3" blues. The other extra blue I put-up for auction to raise monies for the forum,
fetched $75, so they're becoming quite desirable, always on the look-out for more. Scored several at a garage sale a while back, got lucky they were all mint ones, including the 4" which I didn't have.
