Surface Lures

Post by vince. » Mon Jul 07, 2014 2:19 pm

The maker of these lures is a surface lure fanatic apparently. He is a member & I have kept his ID hidden until he gives his permission. The first one was a gift that I really appreciated & I reckon it`s too special not to post a pic.

The next one belongs to a mate & I was lucky enough to get some pics.

Hopefully the maker will put some more pics up, but may wish to remain anonymous.

The bloke who makes/made these lures is a bit of a "Wally " , but makes some great lures.

I had the pleasure of fishing with him and another "Wally " recently , and saw a few trays full of his creations. Definitely a clever lure maker , with a passion for surface lures and thinking outside the square. Saw his lures in action and some fish hanging off them aswell. So I can verify that they work.

The fishing trip was great fun and his mate revealed many stories about "The accident prone lure maker ". Looking forward to our next trip and seeing his latest lure .... "The walking bird ". I saw the proto-types recently and have been informed that it is now perfected and swims like "Eric the eel " , if so ...... the action will be great.

Agreed Vince as the old saying goes. "It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkey's".

The slight dribble out the corner if the mouth might give it away especially for one " old retiree " , but he's keen to go again lol
