Vintage Phillips 'Dart' & 'Spin Devil' MIB

Post by MXB » Sun Sep 27, 2009 10:39 am

Hi all . . . . I was digging through some of my old fly sized lures and vintage flies and found these couple of beauties.

Phillips made a lot of smaller lures, feathered fly size lures and flies in the 1960's/1970's. They were a quality product and have now become quite collectible and something I like to collect. Technically the 'Spin Devil' is probably not a fly but no reason why it couldn't be cast as one on a 7wt or above. This one has never been used. The 'Dart' is a classic streamer fly design that is in fact reminiscent of the modern style of saltwater fly.

Gotta love the old plastic boxes and inserts;
