[quote="rivermandave"]I hope that you folks will notice on the website there that there are NO Bombers with L-rig hardware.

Hi Riverman Dave . . . if you look and carefully read the above website you will find L-RIG hardware was used for the saltwater versions of certain models and that was always my understanding with Bombers. It is mentioned numerous times. The history of Bomber lures is not easy to find. If the lure you are referring to is not a Bomber . . . what is it then??

G'day RivermanDave, welcome to the forums.

Just curious:- are you actually suggesting that there were no L-rig Bombers?
...and that anything looking like a Bomber, but L-rigged, must be something else?
If ONE of you have seen that in a collector book....please qoute the author....book title....etc.
Better write a new book!

Here's my one-and-only example, with a few of his brothers:

That L-rigged example sure looks like a Bomber to me!

Its another Bomber with L-Rig hardware!!

Thanks for the comparison Marrakai . . . I couldn't be bothered finding all my froggy Bombers to show the comparisons and differences as they evolved through to plastic, the 59'ers etc

FACT: L- RIG Bombers exist

SECOND FACT: Marrakai's Bombers look nice . . . that is a great pattern with the snake pattern down both sides

Best Bomber site I have found is.... http://www.bomberbaits.com/index.htm

"Bomber made plastic Bombers during 1949. These performed poorly and almost put the company out of business. Known to collectors as "49ers", these lures command a premium. They differ from the later plastic Bomber which started coming out in 1972. These newer plastic Bombers are worth very little. 1949 Bombers have a thick molded lip. 1972 Bombers have a thin lip that is inserted."

@ rivermandave..600HD Bomber, 4 inch overall length, heavy duty L-rig for salt water

Cheers Brad
