Kicking off with the Models imported by the Brewer's appointed Importer.
Over the next 6 years they continued to catch good fish for competitive anglers, and are still the fallback lure of many when the 'GUN' japanese bibless stop producing.

For those who have followed the use of soft plastics in OZ, you will know that the 4th resurgence in broad use of soft plastics, was headed by Slider Grubs in 2000. They really made the anglers eyes open when they were the lure of choice for Mike Connelly who took out 1st place at the ABT Bass Pro in February 2001. In the first year of use, they took out 3x1st places, 2x2nd places and 5xBig Bass Awards, and this was when Spinnerbaits were 'THE' lure to use.Slider Models

Re: Slider Models
Paul,
Sliders work a treat as a trailer on spinnerbait and chatterbait style lures.
Matt Fraser used to put them on as standard fit on his Nitro spinnerbaits when he was on his own, now of course with the Berkley deal he has to use something closer to home.
Glen Casey was also fitting them to the Bassman spinners for a good while, before he switched to the Bozo tails. With 30+ colours in the range there is even the ability to closely match the skirt colour as well.
great value at about a $ per tail as well.......
sounds like an advertorial
...but just the truth

Re: Slider Models
Hi Camo,
Yes indeed they do bring the 3 & 4" dropshots in to Oz, if you scroll down on my original pic they are at the bottom. They also make good spinnerbait trailers.

Re: Slider Models
Camo,
Generally I would use the purpose built Slider offset jighead that is designed for these slim baits, it has the offset style worm hook embedded in the lead head. However I have used the old style Nitro heads with the annular keeper, so I guess the TT version would also work, Stay clear of any jigheads with the "peg" style keeper which will split the slim worm style tails. Keep in mind that too much weight will dampen the action of the dropshot worms.
1 other suggestion is try a small splitshot crimped on a standard aberdeen pattern hook, or a tiny offset worm hook if you want to rig it a bit weedless, I have used this method many times and it works well. The offset hook will stand the tail up from the bottom like the Slider head does and the water movement does the rest. Remember Dropshot worms are designed for minimum angler input to get motion.
Cheers Brad
