Luhr Jensen Rockwalker

Post by Schultzy » Sat Dec 27, 2008 6:33 pm

Here's a pic of a Rockwalker.

Hey Frank, did Luhr Jensen buy the Triangle Down Boy & re-release it as this lure?

Yours is the original, the one I had was a cheap Chinesse copy.
It's got a bit of a story, in that it was at a time in lure making, that the standard in copied lures improved.
Mine would be as collectable as yours I believe, apart from the package.

They look like they could have come out of the same mould don't they.

Had one of the Down Boys and gave it to an old mate in Kyogle.

Sorry Luarie I have not posted earlier.

Actually got out one of each and had a close look. They are more different than you might think - especially on the quality side.

Doubt that they have the same mother and father - but definitely a copy. This cheap one worked well and at a time when the Rock Walker wasn't freely available in Australia.

Because Harrison promoted them - the Down-Boy is an interesting footnote in Austrlaian lure folklore.
