I own a 2500 and 3000 version of these reels the 2500 has given me nothing but trouble for their money I should have invested into something else..
The 2500 I have run maybe 20 times and has developed a clunk on the bottom end of the spool wind more apparent when hooked up to something with weight than a normal retrieve. In closer investigation the pinon gear bush is worn after around 20 trips if that. zippedsmilie

The 3000 is great so far but I use this for my river fishing and it doesnt get as much use only been run maybe half a dozen times for bait...
The 2500 was a shame as its put my faith inthe down a bit ,I love their rods dont get me wrong but I might steer clear of their eggbeaters...The Cainman cm I had was a good runner no problems there and my tica team 30m is also a winner pity the 2500 has left a sour taste.... thubsdown
