Early Xmas prezzies

Post by RJFisher » Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:46 pm

Inspired by Frank's previous writings about Japanese lures and in particular some of the small collectible lure makers over there, I've been doing a bit of shopping lately and these are what I've come up with so far! Some you'll know and have seen before, others perhaps not! NONO
Some are produced in decent numbers, others in limited runs. All are very beautiful and the workmanship that goes into the wooden creations and their presentation is just phenomenal. True collectors items! Enjoy! thumbsupsmilie

Yes Mully the bottom lure in the first set of pics is a ZEAL. A larger lure than I expected when I got it. For an Aussie bass lure it would be quite big.

Yet more coming...

Some fantastic stuff in there, not much there that I'd seen before. Think a platypus had a run on role in a comedy appearance while waiting for the B Campbell version.

The crackleback is a nice touch.

The Smith ones are just plain weird but very well finished. Pretty far removed from the Baby Runboh though.

The photos don't do the Smiths justice, they are very very nice! The wood grain is so smooth and rich, gotta love the nudes and near nudes hey?! thumbsupsmilie
