Nories Zag Flash

Post by simon bruce » Tue Jul 07, 2009 6:13 pm

This is the Zag Flash 95, been looking at the bigger blades for some saltwater thought I'd get these for a swim in a few months

Didn't get a bottom shot but its quite thin maybe 3 or 4 mm.

Opted for a detail shot from above

Look forward to swimming it and the stick in August.

Took this lure to the Kimberley and pulled it out on the second day at Cassinni Island for some coral lagoon casting. I took the red one thinking it would be a better option for lutjanids such as jacks and fingermarks. Casting it off a Tcurve Powerspin and a Certate 2500 custom

It worked beyond expectations, couple of coral trout straight up

then a spectacularly marked golden trevally which nearly did in a split ring.

Modified it to one single,

got a long nose emperor on it

then disaster struck.

Hooked a queenfish and while it was circling the boat in clear view had a brassy trevally try and grab the lure from the queenie busting the leader.
