nah havent fished there before... will be a good first experience for us.

but have heard reports of good browns, rainbows and even the odd cod (to about 8kg) up there... so definitely in with a chance at one!!!

i did here though that the fly fishing club hired someone to go up there and pull all the cod out of there cos they were smashing the fingerlings... so they might not be as prolific as they used to.

have also heard there is the odd bass and callop in there.

I have been meaning to get up there myself station also heard the same rumor about the cod. That would be a shame as from what I had seen some really nice specimens were caught and released there.
Its funny how species that we are trying to protect can be taken out and killed for another species that is feral to Australia, doesn't make sense to me.

Dont get me wrong I like to catch trout as much as the next bloke but they aren't endangered..Like I said I don't understand that logic. crazysmilie

nope

unfortunately not... trip had to be cancelled due partly to fathers day (forgot about that) but also the GF got pretty sick friday/saturday and ended up in hospital on sunday with a nasty allergic reaction to meds.... :O

all ok now though!

should hopefully be making the trip up this coming weekend.... i can hear the trout calling me!

Great to hear that she's ok thumbsupsmilie Hopefully you get up there soon thumbsupsmilie I would have liked to catch some Cod up there, very disappointing to hear they are getting killed. How can they treat a Cod like a Carp, that sucks.
