Nils Master. Stalwart. 13g. 8cm.

Post by Bazza » Fri Jun 20, 2008 11:12 am

Just wondering if someone can help me in relation to an approximate value of the attached pics of my Nils Master "Stalwart" Lure. I can see that is was sold for $4.50, but imagine that it would be worth considerably more than that today. Lure is un-used and in original packaging. Any help is better than nothing! Box has number 863-3 printed on it if that is anything!

Taknks,
Bazza

BAZZA This is my personal opinion only mate and some may disagree.

This lure being a mass produced lure in a common pattern although old and possibly sought after by Nilsmaster Collectors, I would expect it to be worth Retail $$$ on todays prices.

G'Day Fizza,

Thanks for you input cobber. Not what I would liked to have received, but thanks for being honest.

I would have thought that keeping the price tag on the box would have added to perhaps the history.

I have quite a number of Nils Master Stalwart's in my box's and none of em have a profile the same as this one! Close "Yes" but not the same!

Thanks for your input again!

No worries Bazza.

If we use Rapala as an example there's quite a few profiles & pattern changes in the one standard colour however subtle they are.

Boxes change, pamphletts in boxes change with the introduction of new sizes, models, styles, colours etc.

Most people wouldn't notice a difference, some do. Die Hard collectors chase lures from particular manufacturers that have these subtle changes.

That's basically the only time mass produced reasonably common lures will fetch a better than average or retail price.

Thanks to all for you input. I have a mate who collects all old fishin stuff from mags, books all the way down. He has some great stuff. I'll give it to him for Christmas perhaps. Guess it will then go to someone who would like to have it. Won't tell him ya can get a 30 year old + lure from a bargan bin however!
