Heddon Tiny Torpedo collection

Post by MXB » Sun Jan 15, 2012 4:10 pm

Hi all . . .

One of my favourites to collect and one of the lures I grew up with fishing for bass;

Collection of older versions - loose Tiny Torpedos. There are so many colours and special deition colours for these that they can literally take years and years to find all the variations. The earliest ones have 'pointed' props and gold eyes.

Very nice collection , Roger , .......I only have one in a frog pattern(seems to be the most common color lol ) in my tackle box , found it on a local fleamarket two or three years ago , ........the prop has been removed and stuck back on vice versa with it's blades pointing somewhat forward , I guess .

Looks good Roger thumbsupsmilie

Now bust out the REST of them smckin howdy nahnah

Gold eyes are oldest...and if you find one in a strange looking cellophane window box...those were the introductory boxes from 1952 droolsmilie

Another way to tell older ones is that the cup on the belly hook is "inset".
