Found in the bottom of a bream angler's tackle box in Tassie. Purchased from the maker in NQ, a mate of Vic McCristal, 30 odd years ago.
I think they are Moller lures, my question is what sort of hooks and rings would have been on them originally?

Re: Hardware on Mollers
They're original Moller lures all right. Congratulations!
McCrystal put Flopy-style double-hooks on a few for his own use apparently.
Those I bought in the early 1970s were fitted with heavy-duty stainless split-rings and 3x-strong Eagle Claw trebles, around #2 in size at a guess.what sort of hooks and rings would have been on them originally?

Appreciate the replies guys, I should make it clear that although they were buried under all the bream gear and rigged with 'new' hooks to catch some tailor, I had to be honest with the owner and suggested they may be a bit more valuable out of the tackle box in into retirement. A photo of them is all I have, and my hardware question was on behalf of the owner, as he couldn't remember what they came with.
I do get first dibs at them however, hopefully before any tailor take them away for keeps.
After reading some of the other threads they are a bit more valuable than I thought.
Thanks
Mark

found a Vic McCristal article about Eric Moller where he says that they ususally had 6H rings and 4X strong Mustad or Eagle claws.
McCristal also mentions, as Marrakai said that he preferred to fit a double hook
A great addition to your collection if you can prise them from your mates tackle box.

Re: Hardware on Mollers
I have heard Eric Moller used eagle claw hooks size 2 to 4,4H to 6H split rings and gal wire for the hook and tow points on most of his barra lures.

Re: Hardware on Mollers
BarraKing, the two I have are fitted with original hardware as you describe, the very large split-rings.
