Reidy's "The Real Thing"

Post by Marrakai » Sat Nov 28, 2009 10:16 am

Had a few Reidy's lures with promotional paint-jobs kicking around, and recently added this colourful pair from the local second-hand shop.
IMHO its always good when the lure-factory down the road is willing to promote local businesses, community activities, fishing comps etc:-
but perhaps this is a little crass !!

Still, they make a spectacular addition to the Reidy's collection!

Thing is though, there are 'Coke-kitsch' collectors around the globe who would value this pair of lures far more highly than any lure collector! Image

Marrakai

One of my mates is just what you said and would almost pay a small fortune for those rippers. He likes Coca-Cola things as much as Rob loves Deceptions, Rupe loves RMGs and Brolly loves... well... all Aussie lures and a lot of American ones.

They look nice!

Oh good. That means I don't have to part with mine! Image

Brad: I've got a few other local promo Taipans as well, Argyle Engineering springs to mind. Should dig them out for a group photo sometime.

Boothy: If I find any more of these Coke lures I'll send one down for your mate! My price is Crownies! Image
