Stickers, Writing

Post by Craig » Tue Sep 23, 2008 6:07 pm

4 different C Lures.
First one might be the newest.
Then the bold sticker, might be Dominic's
Then the steel bibbed one is seen from below, the school teacher.
Hand writen is Carl's

Craig, are they still making the lures in the far left of the pic.I came across 3 of these that are brand spanking new in the back of a tackle store, been there a while had plenty of dust on them. The stickers on the bib are the same.I think they were the ultra deep Little Guru's.

Guru's are worth $30.00 to $40.00 and are Dominic's lures.

Craig, the one with the steel bib (bottom View) is a Carl Crist made lure.

The "C" stands for Cooktown, mate Carl Crist was a very good friend of mine from back in the late 80s as was the Teacher who bought C Lures from Carl. That plastic lure can not be a C Lure, some where along the line some one has stuck a C lure sticker on it. Both Carl and the Teacher (both from Cooktown) never made a plastic or moulded lure of any type, shape or form and as far as I know while Dominic had the company before he sold out, he did'nt do any plastic lure, I may be wrong on the Dominic one.
One thing is for sure that plastic lure in the pic is not a real C Lure from the early 90s or even mid to late 90s.
