How do the Yarrum's rate compared to the old style RTB Legends?

Quinnie, it is subjective whether one is better than the other. No one likes change!
In this case there was emotion and bias as well as the lure brand changed ownership and the new owner replacing the 85mm model with the Yarram
They are both good lures that do the job they're supposed to do........

Hutto,
I have been trying to put a timeline together on the RTB/Legend/R&M/Tiegar family of lures. You might know if I am close to the truth.

Ray Broughton started making lures under the RTB label in the 1980's, progressed to Legend brand late 80's/early 90's.He had 3 sizes in the 'COD LURE' and a smaller 50mm minnow in shallow and deep versions.

Ray sold the Legend business to Graeme and Wendy Clark in 1995, but sold the RTB Cod Lure design to R&M Lures.

R&M were moulding the "COD" lures but selling them as Tiegar Lures (??can't find any reference to R&M being a 'Brand'??) Tiegar Lures seems to have folded in late 2009.

Graeme and Wendy Clark continued with the Minnows, added the Yarrum, Outback, Billabong and Hellmax. Business continues to present day.

hopefully you can add some insight and corrections if necessary.

Cheers Brad

Brad,

That seems pretty close to the money. I recollect that the RTB Legends initially continued to be sold as legend lures. It was only after a bit of "huff and puff" between manufacturers that the name was changed to Tiegar.

Cheers
