Elliot Brochure

Post by Capt.Seaweed » Tue Jul 20, 2010 3:52 pm

Guys,
Have been seeing several variations in body and bib shapes of the early timbers that Mick Elliot made.
Wondering (Marrakai?) would there be a magazine article on him from say the 80's, like several posted of other makers recently.
Jim (Oldfish) commented somewhere here, he made 26 different models, wonder if anyone has a brochure they could scan?
My first Elliot was a Barra Plus model he made mid 80's, purchased here in Darwin at Keith Kemps Sports, it had the early coffin-lid bib shape, I'd post a pic, but I no longer have, gave to my brother after he scored his bag limit on it, on his very first outing in the Adelaide R.
Hoping someone out there can help?
Regards, Tony (Wulagi, NT).

Tony
I dont think you will find a "catalogue" of models.
I think they "evolved over time.
Maybe if people posted pic's of the different ones that they have,
then one of the nerds lol on here could put them all together.
Laurie.

Laurie,
either way would work, having them all here gives everyone the chance to comment. You are right though a ruler is pic or good dimensions would be handy clapclap

Brad,
The keenest collector of Elliots here has to be Vicious Fisher (Steve, in Canberra). Haven't seen him post for quite awhile now, was hoping this
may have raised his interest. He'd have the best idea of how many models, sizes etc. I have four different ones, medium and large timber Darwin Darts
and two large Darwin Divers, one shallow one deep also timber. I'll post a pic of the set.

Brad,
Here is that 5" Barra Plus Elliot I talked about, snapped this at my brothers place in Grafton. Caught his barra bag (5 in the NT) on it,
it graces the pic I took of him holding the best, 11lber. Sorry about the glare from the picture frame glass. I'm sure this has to be one
of his earliest as I purchased in mid 80's, picture taken Adelaide R. 1989.

Yours look mint for a mid 80's lure, if you ever decide to trade for some of your beloved Killalures, pls let me know.
