OLD PLOW?

Post by outlaw » Sat Jun 27, 2009 6:35 pm

Hi All, I am after feedback on my latest pickup.

Its a 75mm wooden lure, bib looks like it is hand cut, notice poor masking job on bib, eyes are blurry and there is a full coat of clear over bib and all. Is it OAR-GEE? and how old?.

Sorry the pics are a bit dark.

Cheers Outlaw

hi outlaw
to me it doesn't seem to be wooden. the bib placement are different in wooden Oar-Gee's. its hard to tell if the hook hangers are twisted. normally all wooden Oar-Gees are signed. does this one have any rattles? if not, this one could be an early urathane model. not too sure about the paint on the bib at all, it could've had a repaint. hope this helps

Thanks Adam,

A bit more to add to description: Its the one s/s wire that runs from bib to tail, center hanger has no twist. You can make out the groove recessed into the belly, wire placed in and filled over. Notice the bib doesn't go in as far as expected on wooden oar-gees

No Rattle, age and the odd dipple and finish make me think wood.

Think you'll find this is a genuine timber Oargee plow/plough thumbsupsmilie
