Not sure but I think it may have been Edwards who had an article in a fishing mag in about 1981, 82 or 83. The article showed how to make a wooden lure. I made some and caught barra on them and they looked identical to these shown here

Hi Fizza, I presume the plastic is heated but I am going to find out. Edge treatment is critical because failure of bibs may be caused by overstress but is initiated mostly by the surface condition of an edge. The thin plastic has many production and performance advantages but yes can have weaknesse...

I am pretty sure it is polycarbonate but whatever it is it shouldn't happen. Maybe the bib on the surface walkers is a bit more prone to breakages but as yet I have had no problems with the props on Bills Bug fizzers which are made of the same polycarbonate. Possibly because the props are not fixed ...

When I started lure fishing for barra in the early 80's we only have Nilsies. Invincibles and spearheads. I still have them and most in their cardboard and hard plastic covers. Just the packaging now is pretty special.

Hi Brad,

Yeah, now I remember. This little invincible appears very wide body which reminded me of the Bidgee and now you have jogged my memory about the two trebles on either side.
