Re: Screw eyes for timber hardbodies

@ Diemai, The welded screw eyes they use for balustrading are the ones I've got my eyes on, all seem to be stainless but have a thick diameter and are expensive the cheapest Ive seen are $1.20AUS each but they would be super strong I'm sure I'd find some somewhere in the size and length I need. I am...

Re: Screw eyes for timber hardbodies

I tested to see if the stainless screw eyes would hold my body weight (85kg) the eye opened up but the thread didn't budge, it went at about half my weight so I'm trying to find welded screw eyes because I don't have a tig :( these are for Kingfish poppers which will run 7kg of drag but I want to be...

Re: What could they be?

Here it is, the profile of this one looks the same and the eyes move around in a chamber but when lures change from wood to plastic a few things do change but it has no markings I couldn't tell you who makes it :( I also found this link below which shows you how to make them and they look very simil...

Re: What could they be?

That popper looks very familar, I picked up a plastic version in NZ a couple of months ago. I'll check my tacklebox and get back to you.

Re: Woodies

Thanks for your kind words Diemai, a PB Estuary Perch on a homemade plug would be a highlight to say the least they are not targeted by many people around here but that is the appeal for me I think, there is not much info on their patterns either ,but, in my experience I find they do a daily swim-by...

Re: Woodies

Diemai, It is the cold season down here nothing is really hitting the surface at this end of Oz so it's all sinking or suspending lures for me right now, but the deepest hole would be lucky to hit 4m in my local so they don't need to be very heavy, I've seen 1 one of your sinking lures hanging out t...
