Re: Megabass rods

I have had a play with a few in the shops but like many other never taken the plunge into a purchase, main reason was guide size, I use a lot of braid and we flick a few knot through them in the shop near your place and it was tight to say the least, if you were running fluro straight through on the...

Re:

Yeah not a bad call station. I used to trout fish all the time but haven't done it much since bittern by the lure casting estuary bug. But me thinks they would work a treat on those troutys thumbsupsmilie Dont forget the whiting that you can catch all along that bit of sand just north west of you, ...

Re: hollow belly

Dont know if they are still available or not but do a seach on Basstrix soft lures, they used to come in from the states and had a better color range than the Berkley versions.

Re: Soft Plastics, Lures or Bait?

Could it have been that they were not using the Gulps as lures, rather than casting and retrieving the Gulp many people have been known to rig them up in a paternoster formation and just drift them along the bottom requiring the action to be imparted by the movement of the boat and the current. The ...

Re: Storing SPs - meltage issues

Plasticizers - chemicals that keep the baits flexible attack a lot of plastics. Higher the heat the faster they leech out. Agree, original bag is the best place to keep them, it's designed to better resist the chemicals. I was lucky enough to have a chat with the guys from Berkley in Spirit Lake US...

Instinct lures

Just thought I would point out although I am sure that many would have already seen the Tackleworld branded Instinct Lures, next time you are in one the stores have a look at them, they are all copies from other lures. Looks like many other chains are also doing the same thing with both BCF and Anac...

Thanks for the good wishes, I still pop in from time to time because of all the cool lure stuff that helps me empty my wallet but have been flatout working and moderating another site.

Re: Southern Queensland Breamin

Look for white PVC posts in the canals, always in pairs. These mark where run off water from the streets comes out. About five feet down in the middle of them marks the position of the drain. Be careful, Jack lives here. Now that sounds like a challenge thumbsupsmilie sounds like fun might have to ...

Southern Queensland Breamin

Well it looks like I am driving to Queensland for the ABT Grandfinal, I have never fished further north than Yamba for Breamski's and was curious to find if they are much different in the way they behave around lures, would have loved to go to the prefish but it would be a struggle fitting in the ti...

Re: Making your own lure's

I have a mate that works in a Denture Workshop who makes false teeth for a living, he asures me that he can mould anything and make it sink suspend or float. Has anyone here tried playing around with acrylic based products (like the stuff falsies are made out of) for smaller lures. I am planning on ...
